Downham Market
Bexwell Road postmill |
Downham Market Bexwell Road postmill used two pairs of sails on a cast iron windshaft to power two pairs of French burr stones and a flour mill that produced 14 to 20 sacks or 7 to 10 coombs per week per pair of stones. |
It is likely that the mill shown on Faden's map of 1797 was replaced at some point after the turn of the century as the 1833 advert describes the mill as only being a few years old. |
