Kettlestone post windmill was running in the 1700s and may have been much older. It was probably dismantled and moved to another site in 1789. The mill used two pairs of stones.

A Messuage with Garden, Stable, Hayhouse & Appurtenances in Kettlestone in the county of Norfolk & also a Wind-Mill called Kettlestone Mill with the Stones, going Gears & Appurtenances to the same belonging; all which Premises are now in the Use of James Sugar, Miller; at & under the Yearly Rent of £12. All the above Premises are Copyhold, Fine certain & pay a Quit Rent of 8d.
Also a Freehold Tenement in Kettlestone aforesaid with Garden to the same belonging, now in the Use of Matthew Pearse at the yearly Rent of Three Guineas, subject to a yearly Quit Rent of 3d.

A WINDMILL & DWELLING HOUSE at Kettlestone in the county of Norfolk with a Right of Commonage on a very good Common & within the Distance of 5 Miles of Fakenham & Walsingham, two very good Market Towns in the same County.

At Kettlestone on Monday next 22nd Day of June inst. precisely at 10 o'c in the morning.
A Very good WINDMILL, with two pair of Stones, standing at Kettlestone in the said county, to be taken down & carried away by the Purchaser immediately.
