For a few years now I have been writing a history of my old company Messrs Broom and Wade Ltd of High Wycombe (now defunct) 1898 - 2006. One of the founders, Harry Skeet Broom was born at Moulton St Mary and his grandfather was John Broom 1807 - 1873 the miller at the post mill. Harry Broom 1875 - 1967 never knew his grandfather, and he lost his own father (also named John Broom 1836 - 1881 ) at the age of 5/6. The father was farmer of 609 acres. |
