Mundford tower windmill was a four storey mill with a sunken ground floor that stood to the southwest of the village. The stones were driven by four double shuttered patent sails, each with 7 bays of 3 shutters. The horizontally boarded ogee cap with its petticoat, was atopped by a ball finial. A bake office was also run from the premises.

1940/49
As a child walking daily down the Lynford/WestTofts road to school the windmill in the distance came into view.
Situated to the left off the Kings Lynn road & up past on right St Leonard’s primary school this familiar sight was the start of my day.
Later years after leaving the area, and returning home was much saddened to find this beloved Norfolk landmark gone.
