Ormesby St Margaret was also known as Great Ormesby in the 1800s. Ormesby St Margaret post mill was mainly responsible for trade within the parish of Scratby. The mill had an iron windshaft and used 2 pairs of French burr stones, a flour mill and jumper. |

On 22nd October 1973, Miss D. A. Smith of Belton, Gt Yarmouth wrote to Harry Apling to say a Mr. E. Tennant was living at the Mill House and that the mill was near the railway station. |
