Pulham had two postmills working in the 1200s, that were owned by the manor and run by tenants.


In 1277 there was general extent made of all the lands, monors and revenues belonging to Ely see, when the jury sworn for this manor returned upon oath that the town was in the free hundred of Earl Rog. Bigod called ERESHAM half hundred ...
two windmills with the suit of the tenants thereto worth £5 a year.
