Saxlingham Thorpe smockmill stood on Smock Mill Common. Curiously, the mill did not show up on Ordnance Survey maps. The sails powered 2 pairs of French burr stones and a flour mill.

A small FREEHOLD ESTATE at SAXLINGHAM next Norwich consisting of a Smock Windmill, Dwelling house, Stable and Cart shed and 26 Rods of Land or thereabouts.
The Mill is well situated and nearly new and contains two pair of French Stones and Flour Mill.
Immediate Possession will be given and part of the Purchase Money may remain.
