Southrepps postmill was erected by William Secker, on the site of the earlier Southrepps_Common_postmill that had been run by his father Iaac Secker. The mill stood on the north side of the Bradfield Road at Mill Farm, Lower Street. The mill buck was set on a roundhouse and in 1819, the common sails were powering stones, a flour mill and and a boulting mill.

Thamas Jourden (Jorden) became insolvent and made a Deed of Assignment to Cubit Gray for the benefit of his creditors 7 April 1778.

The Effects of Thomas Jorden of South Repps in the county of Norfolk an Insolvent Debtor, who has assigned over all his real and personal Estate in trust for the Benefit of his Cresitors and which are to be Sold as follows on Monday 14th of this Instant September at 2 o'c in the afternoon at the Cross Keys in North Walsham, a WINDMILL with a Round House, situate in South Repps aforesaid. The whole of the Mill is in extraordinary good condition and is well situated for Business.
And on Tuesday
15th ... Household Furniture of the said Thomas Jorden.
Further particulars may be had of Mr. John Knights.
NB. All such creditors as have not yet deliverred in an account of their respective Demands are desired to do it on or before the Sale Day to Mr. Cubit Gray of South Repps.

All that piece of Land or Ground whereon a mill formerly stood upon the wast or wast ground of said Robert Britesse called Southrepps Heath or Common with leave for John Bygrave to erect and build a mill upon the said piece of ground from 24 June then last past for the term of ninety nine years At the yearly rent of ten shillings payable on 24 June every year and Whereas by certain Indenture of Assignment bearing date 11 December 1790 between William Ladell of Crostwick in the Countyof Norfolk farmer in whom through divers assignments etc. were then vested for the residue of the said term of ninety nine years and the said Joseph Cubitt.

A POST WINDMILL with roundhouse recently put into good repair. Brick and Tile Dwelling House, Barn, Stable. Cart Lodge and other Outbuildings: three enclosures of Arable Land containing about five acres including Garden and Orchard and now in the occupation of Mr. William Moore whose tenancy expires at Michaelmas next.
the above is worthy the attention of an industrious man there being no other mill in the Parish.
