Swaffham King Edward I ... and in the 8th year of that king the said John (de Dreux) being lord an extant was made of the manor ... from whence we learn that there was a capital messuage belonging to it valued at 10s per annum, 213 acres of arable land in demesne, valued at 5d per acre, a fold of the customary tenants at 40s. and 80 acres of pasture valued at 40s per annum, chevage valued at 3s. two windmills valued at 40s ...
