Derelict octagonal boarded tower, truncated to 2 storeys. Flat corrugated iron roof; timber and iron sheeted sheds adjoining. On south side of dyke, opposite derelict tower_mill on other side. Private.
Arthur C. Smith - 17th September 1973

Arthur C. Smith recorded many drainage pumps and he visited both Tunstall properties on 5th July 1988.
He noted that the octagonal horizontally boarded tower had been reduced to around 12 feet and was in very poor condition. The flat roof had gone and much of the boarding was missing.
At that time the track to the mill had all but disappeared, the nearby mill cottage was derelict and the whole site was overgrown.
