Rye |
'About 150 yards to the south west of the southward most cote' a piece of the town's waste was granted by the corporation in 1779 to John Palmer, who erected a wind-mill thereon, which in 1783 he sold to David SIMPSON. This mill, subsequently known as "SKINNER'S" is now pulled down and the site converted in stables entered from the Victoria Road.
